“Recorded live with no edits, Rainbow Fusion lives up to its name, offering wide vistas and mind/body connection and rehabilitation. PJS offer better living through electricity by conjuring pink clouds, green earth and blue seas of peace and calm.”
Jeff Conklin for Ambient Audiophile
“Rainbow Fusion hits that elusive sweet spot of meditative and engrossing over its 65 minutes.
PJS boldly open with the album's longest track, “Psychic Architecture,” a 21-minute treatise in treating us like royalty. The slow-motion expansiveness and Elysian vortex summoned here makes the Orb sound earthbound. A relative blip at 11:44, “Hints and Cues” murmurs in a more introspective vein, coming off like a less somnolent Stars of the Lid. “Potpourri” is a calming drone adorned with subtle sparkles of what sounds like treated electric guitar. It's as full of wonder as a constellation.
“Floating Duvet” coasts on the most vaporous, calming undulations you'll hear outside of a Laraaji or Joanna Brouk record. At 14:33, it's a tease; one could recline in its pacific drift for hours and come out the other side feeling like a billion bucks. Bottle this music and sell it at Capitol Hill's New Age-friendly wellness mecca, Rainbow Natural Remedies.”

Hush Hush Records is thrilled to welcome prolific Coast Salish based duo PJS to the family to help present 'Rainbow Fusion,' their latest journey into psychedelic, introspective, longform zones.
PJS is the collaborative project of longtime friends Jordan Christoff and Patrick Dique. Writing their music live on hardware, they create custom sound design for each composition with no computers involved. They have forged a distinctive path with a steady stream of releases showcasing their free-flowing, intuitive, and immersive analogue sound. The duo’s music has graced premier labels such as Leaving, Muzan Editions, Umé, Distant Bloom, Shimmering Moods, No Problema Tapes, VILL4IN, Aural Canyon, and Crash Symbols, with Jordan’s solo work finding homes on Past Inside The Present, Constellation Tatsu, Rusted Tone Recordings, and Global Pattern, just to name a few.
With four tracks clocking in at just over an hour, 'Rainbow Fusion' is another epic and enveloping session for PJS that also signals their Hush Hush debut. Their calming drones, lush atmospherics, slowly unfolding melodies, and gravitational pull towards the infinite are once again on full display. There’s a gentle undercurrent that carries each of these songs as they organically unfurl and glacially swell into their optimal widescreen beauty. Primed for meditative excursions and transportive daydreams, 'Rainbow Fusion' adds another cinematic chapter within Hush Hush’s finely curated dives into longform territory.
Cassette tape and digital release arrive on June 21st in celebration of the summer solstice and the 5th anniversary of the duo’s first physical release, 2018’s 'Sweet La Vie' for Leaving Records. We hope you’ll slow down and soak in the year’s longest sunset with the blissful vibrations of 'Rainbow Fusion' as your soundtrack.
I've been following the works of Jordan and Patrick for years, but this is a really outstanding release. By far as close as you can get to ambient perfection. idleherb
