PJS is the duo of Patrick Dique and Jordan Christoff, living and working on Lekwungen Territory (aka Vancouver Island, British Columbia). Patrick and Jordan have built a deep discography of expansive tonal soundscapes using hardware synths, field recordings, samplers and analog effects.
Across these two longform pieces, the passage of time seems simultaneously compressed and stretched, over in the blink of an eye but also extending beyond the temporal horizon. Slowly evolving textures, shimmering drones, and subtle dynamic shifts; "Time?" feels like a living, breathing organism taking shape through sound. Much like the intricate artwork that Jordan creates for each album, a tapestry of small details add up to an immersive whole.
"Myriads (Meridians), features slight percussive markers chewing the scenery, as a whimsy of analog effects tickle by like UFOs in the sky, as well as what appears to be somewhat processed field recordings in the mix. What’s clear as the piece goes on, is the depthless bounty of their low-end. It truly feels of a levitation that creeps up on you; an acid test in real time lighting up. Pyramids (Labyrinths) carries the same open-ended optimism of old VHS tapes on NASA rocket launches. The baseline synths create that feeling of a grand rocket launch, as all sorts of windy-synthesizer harmonics and bubbling crescendoes graciously floats and glides about the space. It’s never intense per se, but it carries all the nervous jubilance of those moments before a huge rocket launch."

"Outstanding! Majestic! Grand sweeping music, as seen from the top of a climb, as far as the eye can see."

I've been following the works of Jordan and Patrick for years, but this is a really outstanding release. By far as close as you can get to ambient perfection. idleherb
The cover reminds me of the "Falling Man" photo taken during the 9/11 attacks and the overall vibe is "falling up while on a bunch of ketamine" degelle

What can I say brilliant work that speaks to me. As a long time lover of ambient this album really came along and impressed me with all the right touches. I can’t wait to see what other releases are coming next! Mutiny
